Thame Solar Farm was given approval by the Planning Inspectorate on the 29th October 2015 and construction began in the new year. The solar farm was built and will be maintained by Anesco Ltd.
Now fully operational, Thame Solar Farm produces enough energy to power over 1,256 homes per annum and in doing so will displace 1.7 million kilograms of carbon emissions per year.

Carbon dioxide abatement: The solar farm will take around 10 months to ‘pay back’ the energy associated with the manufacturing, transport and construction of its various components. For the remaining 24 years and 2 months it will avoid 1,783 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent being emitted per annum.
