We are currently looking to fill the following positions:

Business Development Manager

Location: Corsham (SN13 0RP)

Salary: £32,000 to £45,000 per annum plus bonus

Type: Permanent

Other Benefits: Bonus structure and 25 days holiday

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project management of solar farm developments in various international markets and energy storage projects in the UK;

  • Documenting development processes in new markets and reviewing risks and opportunities;

  • Coordination of internal development from initial site identification to disposal of completed projects;

  • Management of external environmental and other consultants;

  • Management of the scope, specification, time, cost, quality, risks and resources aspects of projects,


  • Assess the feasibility of new projects and recommend how they are progressed;

  • Provide input to technical drawings to optimise the site layout and access;

  • Assist with land option and lease negotiations;

  • Manage the project through the planning determination process including engagement with key stakeholders;

  • Manage the commercial aspects to ensure that the financial objectives of the project are achieved in a changing regulatory regime;

  • Develop project budgets; and

  • Monitor and review the status of the project, identify issues and develop solutions to mitigate such issues.

    Skills Required:

    Batchelor’s or master’s degree required. Further qualifications are desirable but not essential.

    Experience of working within a similar development or planning role in the clean energy sector.

    Knowledge and understanding of planning and environmental legislation is preferred.

    Commercial awareness and acumen.

    Knowledge of the energy sector.

    Ability to use and navigate around various computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and ideally Google Earth.

    Must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.

    The job is a full time role (37.5 hours per week).

    The company endorses flexible working practices for all staff.

    The job requires travel around the UK and some international travel.

    Pay will be dependent on experience.
